Is the computer dead – is it needed now with the advent of of mobile internet?
Having recently purchased Apples IPhone, there are a number of points that need to be raised:
1) It isn’t that fast if you are connected via 3G
2) 3G isn’t available in enough places
3) The screen is only big enough to fit “Apps” designed for it
Until broadband speed appears on phones, then I doubt it.
However – it does mean that people can access anything at anytime – even if they can’t read it properly.
Or is it that the content on sites needs to be reduced just to display what people actually want to see and read, and not the other 90% of content that makes up a website?
Maybe twitter *is* actually the future – or at least in some shape or form.
The PC isn’t dead – for now….
